My Day, My Steps: Life Skills Sequences for Ages 6 to 14

"Go get ready" is not one instruction. It is eleven, and your child is being asked to hold all of them in their head at once.

That is why the same request produces the same standoff every morning. Not defiance, and not laziness. The steps exist, they are just invisible, and remembering them is the actual work.

Fourteen routines, and the ones nobody prints

Brushing teeth, washing hands, shower, hair washing, deodorant, getting dressed, dressing for cold and warm weather, packing a school bag, making a simple snack, tidying one surface, bedtime wind down, toileting hygiene, nail care, and a separate discreet sheet for period care.

Built for the age nobody serves

• Aimed at six to fourteen, and drawn like it. No cartoon toddlers. A twelve year old will refuse a chart made for a four year old, and refusing it is a reasonable response to being talked down to.
• Two levels of detail for every routine. A short four step version and a full eight to twelve step version. Same task, different chunking, because the same child needs different detail on a good day and a hard day.
• Three formats each. A wall strip for the bathroom door, a pocket card for the bag, and a cut apart set your child can put in order themselves.
• Photo slots, on purpose. Dashed boxes so you use a photo of your own sink, your own bag, your own coat. A picture of the actual thing beats a generic drawing, and it sidesteps the symbol licensing that most sellers quietly ignore.
• Blank templates for the routines in your house that we did not think of.

The tiles are unnumbered, and that is deliberate

Putting the steps in order is the activity. Several of these steps are genuinely swappable, and correcting a child's workable order teaches them there is a hidden right answer they failed to guess. There is not one.
